Odin Metrology, Inc. is a Metrology Facility located in Thousand Oaks, California. We specialize in calibration of Bruel & Kjaer Instruments, though we also calibrate and Sound and Vibration products from many other Manufacturers.

After Bruel & Kjaer closed their West Coast Service and Calibration Center in 1995, Odin Metrology was formed with the purpose of continuing to providing Quality Calibrations for Bruel & Kjaer's Western Customers with fast turn around time and reasonable calibration prices.

Odin Metrology is managed by Torben Ehlert, who was B&K's Western Calibration Manager for over 30 years, and originally worked at the B&K headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Odin's technical staff includes Harold Lynch, also a former B&K employee who has over 18 years experience calibrating B&K products.

Instrumentation at Odin Metrology, Inc. contains all necessary procedures, standards and systems to provide recognized calibrations of sound and vibration instrumentation.

All Calibrations are performed with all standards calibrated traceable to NIST.

Compliance to ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO Guide 25, ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 17025.

Our Primary acoustic standards are calibrated by Bruel & Kjaer either during their yearly calibration audit at Odin Metrology or at the DANAK standards laboratory at the Bruel & Kjaer factory.

Primary Reference Standards for Vibration are calibrated absolute by Brüel & Kjær using the Laser Interferometer method for highest accuracy.

Primary Measurement Standards for Pressure, Voltage, Current, Frequency, Resistance, Capacity, Temperature and Humidity are calibrated yearly by outside laboratories traceable to NIST
Volume: Odin Metrology performs over 3500 calibrations per year, of which about 90% is Bruel & Kjaer.

Inter Laboratory Comparisons: Odin Metrology, Inc. participates with 3 different programs including Bruel & Kjaer's International Comparison for users of the B&K Calibration System 9559 and the NASA AMAP Metrology group with JPL for Accelerometers for NASA Calibration Suppliers.
